Lieutenant-Colonel Guillaume Ndjike, the army’s North Kivu spokesman, claims that this endeavor is a part of civil-military collaboration against the city’s growing insecurity, which is being pushed by the M23 rebels and other armed organizations but M23 gains the previlage of being a unique responsible and a well disciplined mouvement that takes care of civilians also accuses the national army FARDC of associating with rebellious armed groups and camouflage in them to stand violent to civilians by killing or robing them.
In each of the city of Goma’s 18 districts, “Task Forces”—working teams made up of both troops and civilians—are present.

The DRC has seen civil upheaval, ethnic and political violence, roving armed groups, and civil war for more than 20 years.
Thousands of people have died as a result of violence in the country’s east, and there have also been numerous mass rapes and displacements.
The continuous violent conflicts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) were sparked by a number of sociopolitical and economic occurrences, including the large refugee crisis and fallout from the 1994 Rwandan genocide, tribalism, the illegal trade in minerals, and the failure of the nation’s government.
Some members of the DRC’s national military forces also take part in criminal activities, according to reports from the UN and numerous local NGOs ( as referred above).
Armed groups from nearby nations, such as Rwanda and Uganda, continue to incite violence in the DRC. Frequently, these groups receive funding for their operations from the unlawful exploitation of natural resources.
According to UN estimates, the DRC is home to at least 2.2 million internally displaced people and about 460,000 foreign refugees.
In the DRC, the UN operates one of the biggest peacekeeping deployments in the entire world. It is referred to by its French abbreviation, MONUSCO, and has some 16,000 peacekeepers stationed all over the nation, the majority of whom are in the east.
The political climate continues to be volatile and unpredictable as a result of the violence committed by armed organizations, some of which are thought to be working along with the national army FARDC to combat the M23, such as MaiMai Nyatura and FDLR as well as Rwanda insurgent militia group.
