For the second day in a row, Omdurman has suffered losses as a result of fighting between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Blood has been donated and makeshift graves have been dug as a result of the clashes, which are primarily taking place in Omdurman’s historic neighborhoods.

In an attempt to regain control, the Sudanese army has stationed specialized street warfare troops in Khartoum state. Omdurman, the scene of ferocious fighting, has been the focus of the Special Operations Forces. As things became worse, injured citizens flocked to Al-Nau Hospital for care.

To honor the victims of these confrontations, which have been regarded as the most fierce in the region since the conflict started in mid-April, activists dug several graves in Omdurman. Both the Omdurman Emergency Room and the Abu Rouf neighborhood Resistance Committees, where Al-Nau Hospital has been treating injured people since the morning, requested urgent blood donations.

Residents of the conflict-affected districts, such as Abu Rouf and Wad Nubawi, were compelled to flee in search of protection toward the suburb of Al-Thawra. Following the severe battle close to the Shambat Bridge, this relocation occurred.

Additionally, confrontations between the army and paramilitary groups took out in Omdurman’s Al-Abbasiya, Al-Arbaeen, and Al-Doha neighborhoods on Tuesday morning.

Both sides increased their troop levels in various areas of Omdurman. The RSF fighters held the regions near the Al-Azhari roundabout leading to Shambat Bridge while the army set up defensive positions at the Duma station in Wad Nubawi.

The RSF declared a new victory over the army in reaction to the fighting, claiming they had killed 174 Sudanese soldiers, injured over 300, and taken 83 prisoners of war. They claimed that they successfully repulsed army attacks in numerous locations.
