In a non short interview with TV5 Monde, the journalist was questioning Mahoro Peace Association spokesperson Alexis Mvuka, about the African Intelligence and US Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI)’s report that MPA supports Congolese rebellious forces merely a Banyamulenge Auto defence “Twirwaneho”, which defends it’s people from the counterattacks of other organised militia groups from different neighboring communities.
MPA spokesperson Alexis Mvuka revealed that they don’t support them instead they offer humanitarian assistance to the abandoned Banyamulenge community by it’s government.
Alexis Mvuka said that Mahoro Peace Association works under US government’s rules and regulations mostly in the revenue department. Something that contradicts the FBI alleged report urging that it’s a false information.
In the interview Alexis Mvuka highlighted that approximately 5 million USD already spent on the humanitarian assistance to the banyamulenge vulnerable community, rejected by it’s own government and all humanitarian organisations operating in the country.
This has led us to approach some minembwe residents and we asked them what MPA has done for them this is what he said “ indeed Mahoro Peace Association gives us food, both maize and poredge flour “.
Reminding that Mahoro Peace Association is a Banyamulenge based organization who lives in the United States Of America, they are also refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo for the unceasing warfares in their region.
