At a press conference, he told reporters that “during the special military operation, it became clear that many things were missing.” These include high-precision weapons, communication tools, aircraft, drones, and other devices.

Putin stated that Moscow has been attempting to close the gap and that its defense companies are “intensively building up production of modern weapons.”
He has said that he wants Russia to develop its defense industries ever since August. Putin spoke of “arising issues” in the defense industry while urging the Russian military industry to step up its game in terms of weapon development.
