The fight continues despite the ceasefire agreement.
The M23 has publicly announced it’s interest in ceasing fire today Tuesday March 7 to hold on the hostilities that innocent civilians are facing and accessing no governmental assistance in the miserable life they are undergoing.
MASISI and Rutchuru territories inhabitants are the mare victims of the war, and the same displaced are estimated to be coming from Tutsi natives, who merely dominate the M23 mouvement. This has raised concern for the M23 since the government do not take care of these internal displaced refugees for the tribalistic and discriminatory reasons where hate takes its possible way higher.
Due to these concerns M23 has raised interest in ceasing fire for the well being of innocent civilians who fled their homes to different cities of the province for shelter and do not get allowed to move back for their agricultural products to feed their families that do not get any assistance from it’s government.
Despite the day agreed to stop the fight between the two sides, the governmental coalition has taken the first step forward to attack M23 on the ceasefire day, something that has completely astonished the civilians and the civil society in the area, for their government does not want to stop the war. Something that has resulted into the recapture of new entities like Kibirizi and Kirima villages due to provocations and unwillingness of peace establishment in the area, while waiting for the implementations of the peace process demands.
