Fight has flared up in today’s morning Monday March 13/2023, between Maïmaï and banyamulenge self defense in musika that is Fizi territory of South KIVU in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
It was reportedly said that Maimai Bishabumbuke has launched attacks amongst civilians who defend themselves and conquered these rebel forces .
In the official announcement that TWIRWANEHO has publicly announced, has condemned these attacks by these rebellious militia groups of Maimai alongside the Burundian insurgent Red tabara to attack the displaced civilians who have come back home in Monyi, Rutigita and Masha. lately got in contact with the TWIRWANEHO patrol that pushed them back. at this time the fight is taking place in kijombo and Musika where they came from.
The fights have just resumed in the highlands of mulenge after a Long period of cessation from last year December/29/2022, when these self defeders were fighting against the government coalition forces from the 12th brigade mostly known as“ faster intervation force “, by then this 12th brigade was led by Col Alexis Rugabisha.

Reminding that Maimai is accused by Banyamulenge people of killing them and seizing their cows counted in thousands of hundreds cows, it is again accused of destroying banyamulenge residing villages in Mibunda, Kamombo Bijombo and Rurambo Bibogobogo inclusively.
