The forces include those from Congo (FARDC), Burundi (FDNB), and armed groups collaborating closely with the Kinshasa government, including FDLR and Wazalendo, which launched attacks in heavily populated areas with civilians in the Kabare territory, according to reports from those regions.
These attacks began around 11:00 PM on Thursday, April 10, 2025, where this coalition of government-aligned forces targeted areas very close to Kahuzi-Biega National Park in the Kabare territory in South Kivu.
Reports clearly indicate that this attack was carried out in a place called Tshivanga. It is a densely populated area with civilians and is located near Kahuzi-Biega National Park.
Afterwards, fighters from the M23 group, part of the Alliance Fleuve Congo coalition, quickly moved into this area and began to confront this coalition that is fighting for the Kinshasa government that had launched an attack on the population.
These reports also mention that this attack was carried out by the Congolese forces that came from the Kahuzi-Biega forest.
This recent attack follows other attacks by the coalition fighting for the government of Kinshasa, which recently launched an offensive on Tuesday of this week in areas nearby in the Kalehe territory that borders that of Kabare, which was also attacked again today, Thursday.
According to ongoing reports, this coalition carried out attacks in the areas of Bushaku, Katale, and Kafufula.
However, although this coalition of Congolese forces is the one launching these attacks, it ends up being pushed back by the fighters of the M23 group.
They even ensure that they push them far away, although they are about to launch attacks elsewhere again.
On the other hand, the M23 continues activities to develop all areas under its control, including the city of Bukavu. They engage in community service aimed at cleaning the city, and they also repair infrastructure that they find the Congolese forces have damaged.
Additionally, at the beginning of this week, AFC opened a bank in Goma to assist the residents.
This community service is also being carried out in Minembwe, Kamanyola, and other areas.
