This morning Monday, April 7, 2025, the coalition of government forces launched attacks against the Banyamulenge, while Twirwaneho, which defends the Banyamulenge, is reportedly retaliating, according to information from those areas.
Menembwe Capital News has learned that the attacks were effectively carried out in a place called Magara, and were conducted by FARDC, FDNB, FDLR, and Wazalendo.
Magara is a short distance from Rugera, approximately 5 kilometers from the center of Gakangala.
The information continues to state that after Twirwaneho intervened for the Banyamulenge who were attacked in Magara, the coalition of Congolese forces, which was initially engaged, retreated to a place called Ronderi, in the Byalele area, in front of Muliza.
This information clarifies that the coalition of Congolese forces suffered a significant defeat, as many of them died in the Magara area.
Moreover, at Ronderi, these government forces took refuge, while Twirwaneho continued to fire its weapons.
We remind you that these areas are experiencing fighting across the large Rwiko River, located a short distance from the center of Minembwe. This is in the direction of Rugezi.
This coalition launched attacks from Nyamulombwe, having arrived there at the end of last week.
At that time, reports indicated that the attack originated from Kabanju in Lelenge, in the forests of the Fizi territory.
