He who calls him self Gen Makanaki John, from a rebellious militia group of Wazalendo which cooperates closely with the DRC national forces FARDC, is accused of Banyamulenge mass killings on the Kirungwa mountain in the highlands of Uvira.

Two Banyamulenge recently killed by shooting in Kirungwa mountain, they were mounting this mountain that is found in Uvira, South Kivu province in DRC.
Kirungwa mountain is situated between two other mountains of Munanira and Gataka, in Uvira territory, Kirungwa locality,kijaga Groupement .
It was reportedly said that the victims were shot by Wazalendo militia group led by Gen Makanaki John Kasimbila. According to the audio recording he released himself.
In that voice recording of Gen Makanaki John Kasimbila he said that he will never lay down weapons when him that he called “TUTSI”, is yet out of DRC land.
“ I Gen Makanaki John Kasimbila, I will never lay down weapons before killing all Tutsi people in DRC or they can go away from it ” he said
After saying this, it didn’t take long as a week these two Banyamulenge men were killed by shooting in a territory controlled by these Wazalendo rebels led by Gen Makanaki John Kasimbila.
It was reportedly said that two were killed other two severely injured . These killed Banyamulenge were together with others from Bapfuliru and Banyindu communities, but when they reached under Makanaki’s controlled territory, they had an attack abruptly which decided to kill only those from Banyamulenge community as they were mounting the highlands of Mulenge in Bijombo Groupement mostly known as Uvira’s Ndondo.
These death has caused much pains amongst Banyamulenge who stay in the Democratic Republic Of Congo mostly those from the east side.
It was after just one day from this massacre named above, it was reportedly said that also from Tanganyika province in Kalemi territory another Munyamulenge who was grazing his cattles was killed and his cows were seized.
In most cases Kirungwa mountain is always a death succumbing place for Banyamulenge.
Last year in 2022, on the same mountain Doctor Merci Kimararungu who was working in Gatanga general hospital of Bijombo Groupement was killed.
Mr. Zachee Masabo said that: “Why does the government not punish people like Gen Makanaki John Kasimbila? How comes the government hears voice notes that sensitizes people to do genocide but the govt do not pursue such culprits and arrest them? Meaning that Kinshasa supports them!!”
Zachee continued saying that “ we therefore awake Banyamulenge (Tutsi) people who stay in Bwegera to stay alert for them that hunts down their lives are very eager to kill them.”
On this Tuesday a voicemail was heard from somebody called Naluvumbu Kimbambala, who is now in Kinshasa capital city of DRC. That voicemail was basing on confrontations between Bapfuliru and Burundians who stays in the Ruzizi plain, mostly those misunderstandings are based on chiefdom taxes and a house that was recently been set ablaze by unknown people. It is a house of Bapfuliru Groupement Chief that was burnt on Tuesday July 11th/2023. After the incident Bapfuliru condemned Burundians who stay in Bwegera. What is more complicating is that Naluvumbu included Banyamulenge who stay in Bwegera in that voicemail.
“Countrymen know that Burundians who stays in Bwegera led by Kivuruga and also Banyamulenge that we’ve seen what you did to set ablaze the Groupement Chief named Mayeye, we have not been defeated and we shall never be defeated that house will be constructed again with iron sheets for we are powered from Kinshasa, Bukavu and Uvira till Bwegera where you are. added that when the Lion gets awake, Kivuruga and his followers will never live again and am saying this fearlessly because no war can be won against us from any Burundian or Munyamulenge,” Naluvumbu said.
It is a voicemail he delivered Tuesday night.
It was on Wednesday next day around 10:00am artilleries where heard being shot by government army “ FARDC” at the end two people lost their lives amongst Naluvumbu disciples who were sent to kill Kivuruga the Groupement Chief of Burundian community.
Zachee said “What excruciate is to see the Congolese government developing a habit of not punishing the culprits.”
