To end the three-week civil war, the US hosted the first round of negotiations with the two groups in Sudan through the mediation of Saudi Arabia. Representatives from the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese military also took part in the debate. There will be several stages to the negotiation process. Flight operations between Jeddah and Sudan have also begun.

The Rapid Support Forces delegation consisted of three senior officers, while the military group included an ambassador and three senior officers. High-level humanitarian problems reportedly came up in conversations about the situation.
In the first stage, talks for a ceasefire will take place. Faisal bin Farhan, the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, spoke over the phone with the foreign ministers of many other nations, the UN Secretary General, and Sudanese officials. Jeddah is where this is continuing to take place. Additionally, flights between Saudi Arabia and Sudan have resumed. To provide the services in Sudan, airport security is maintained.
Since the violence broke out between the opposing security forces on April 15, many truces have been reached, but none have been upheld.
Regional media, however, reported that there was no gunfire exchange in or around Khartoum in the early hours of Saturday.
The war has resulted in hundreds of fatalities and tens of thousands of refugees to date.
