On Saturday, April 5, 2025, there was heavy fighting in Uvira, South Kivu, involving two groups from Wazalendo, according to reports from the area.
The fighting began around 4 AM and continued until around 6 AM.
According to these reports, the two Wazalendo groups involved were led by Makanaki and Beta Bango.
As for the conflict between these two groups, some reports indicate that the situation remains unclear, while others suggest that it escalated due to the fighters’ actions against the local population.
